Interested in volunteering your time to help out at the Coatesville Area Public Library. You help will allow us the opportunity to provide the best possible programs and services to our community.

Volunteers working with Children and Youth Services have the opportunity to help children in the Library’s after-school programs. Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. We also have opportunities for volunteers who can commit to longer-term weekly projects, such as creating social media content for the library.  Again, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Background Checks

By Pennsylvania State Law, all volunteers over the age of 18 must pass a State Child Abuse and Police and Federal Criminal Background check. Volunteers will be expected to present completed “no record” certificates before the start of their first volunteer shift.

These background checks will have associated fees. Volunteers are expected to pay their own fees, which will be reimbursed.

You will be reimbursed as soon as you present your completed certificates. If you are seeking reimbursement, please present the library with copies of your paid receipts when you deliver your completed certificates.
